Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hayden Brass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kush comes to the cage accompanied by Flaw - Only The Strong Survive. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Hayden Brass enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Hayden Brass!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brass looks to land a combination. Kush sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Brass lands a nice shot to the body.
Brass goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kush closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brass circles away.

Kush fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brass sprawls well initially but Kush persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brass is staying active underneath Kush, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kush is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brass defends it well.

Brass is trying to stand up here but Kush is controlling him well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kush trying to control the action but Brass is working from the bottom.
Kush uses his free foot to push down on Brass's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brass.
Kush is breathing heavily.
Kush looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kush lands a big shot there that rocks Brass but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brass in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Kush postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brass looks a forlorn figure.
Kush lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Brass is looking to get to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kush lands a heavy elbow.
Brass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kush looking to control but Brass is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kush lands with some strikes.
Kush is landing with some decent strikes but Brass is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Kush can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brass is looking to escape.

Brass seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kush throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kush is looking to clinch but Brass is avoiding it.
Kush wants to clinch up but Brass keeps it at a distance.
Kush gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Brass.
Brass lands a two punch combo.
Kush fails in his attempt to clinch.
Reggie Kush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brass thuds a left hand into Kush's body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Brass.
Brass fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kush on the side of the head.
Horrible takedown by Kush or perhaps it was just good defense by Brass which made him look bad.
Brass fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kush.
Kush is looking to clinch but Brass is avoiding it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Brass slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kush changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brass tries to avoid it but Kush manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brass to the ground. Brass escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kush takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kush crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brass - the referee stops the clock and Kush gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brass. Kush manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kush chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brass can pounce on him.

Kush stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brass.
Brass connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Brass dips to his left and cracks Kush with an uppercut!
Brass slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kush takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hayden Brass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brass lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Brass lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kush's sensitive parts.

Brass feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kush's calf.
Brass throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Brass stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Brass throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brass is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Nice uppercut lands for Brass. That snapped Kush's head back.
Hayden Brass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kush ducks right into an uppercut from Brass.
Brass lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brass.

Brass has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Brass tests Kush's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kush looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Brass is looking to slow Kush down with leg kicks.
Kush moves forwards but Brass connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Brass throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kush shoots in looking for a takedown. Brass tries to sprawl out of it but Kush keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brass manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kush shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Brass cracks Kush with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hayden Brass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kush dives in and grabs Brass's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brass pushes down on Kush's head and hops out.

Kush takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Brass jabs Kush right on the nose. Kush blinks but takes it well.
Brass sizes up Kush with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Brass lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kush takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Brass is looking to slow Kush down with leg kicks.
Brass moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Brass scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kush takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
