Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marin Petric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). III has chosen IRON MAIDEN : Alexander the Great as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
III throws a series of punches but Petric moves out of range.
III rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Petric moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for III, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
III swinging wildly here.
Petric slips a jab and a cross from III.
Petric lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but III circles away quickly and effectively.
III throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Petric counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps III thinking.
III misses with a double jab
and Petric counters with a stiff right hand.
III throws a left and a right that both miss
and Petric cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Petric misses with a two punch combination.

Petric rushes III and presses him up against the cage.
III fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Petric lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Petric scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A nice right hand lands inside from Petric.
III tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

III is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Petric gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Marin Petric has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander III.
III tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Petric just stands there and leans against the cage.

III's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Petric pushes III back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
III is trying to drag Petric to the mat but Petric just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
III is trying to force a seperation but Petric has the dominant position.
A nice right hand lands inside from Petric.
Petric lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

III jumps into guard, dragging Petric to the mat.

Petric drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but III manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Petric has III in his guard.

III drops back, looking for a kneebar! Petric looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Petric looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Petric!

Petric looking to punish the body of his opponent here but III is avoiding damage well.
Petric scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at III to see if he's OK.

Petric is stalling here. III is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Petric seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and III has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Petric on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Petric tries to get out of the position.

III goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Petric rolls with the submission and now he's on top in III's guard! Nice work there by Petric!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

III moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Petric has worked his arm free - good work by Petric!
III tries to stand but Petric is controlling his head.

Alexander III seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

III chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Petric can pounce on him.
III fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petric manages to avoid it.

Petric lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends III sprawling to the canvas. Petric follows him down, looking for the kill. Can III hang on?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Petric throws a strike but III rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
III sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Petric's guard.

III maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Petric could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but III has cracked it and Petric is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by III!
