Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nero Octavianus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Octavianus comes to the cage accompanied by Madman. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nero Octavianus !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Logan Briggs!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs misses with a series of wild punches.
Octavianus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Briggs works over Octavianus 's head and body with a nice combination.
Octavianus misses with a body shot.
Octavianus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Briggs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Octavianus misses with a hook. Briggs ducked under it nicely.
Briggs takes one to the chin there.

Octavianus closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Briggs wants to get back to striking at distance but Octavianus won't allow it.
Octavianus gets control of Briggs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Octavianus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Octavianus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Briggs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Briggs uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Octavianus .
Octavianus loads up on a big right hand but Briggs slips the punch.
Briggs shoots in but no luck this time.
Nero Octavianus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Octavianus lands a slapping body shot.

Briggs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nero Octavianus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Logan Briggs.

Octavianus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Octavianus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Octavianus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Briggs is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Octavianus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Briggs won't be happy with that.

Octavianus cracks Briggs with a big right hand but Briggs just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Octavianus tries to score with some ground and pound. Briggs controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Octavianus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Octavianus is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Briggs is trying to escape and Octavianus transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Briggs is forced to tap! Nice work there by Octavianus ! Very nice indeed!
