Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Allistar Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Allistar Alvarez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Allistar Alvarez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alvarez wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance.
Smith drives through with a takedown into guard.
Smith sitting in guard here, content to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smith is standing up over Alvarez. Alvarez looks to escape but Smith dives into side control.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alvarez keeps working.
Smith happy to just control the position for now.
Alvarez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The referee asks Smith politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Smith prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alvarez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Smith is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Alvarez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Smith stands up and beckons Alvarez to join him on the feet.
Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alvarez's guard.

Alvarez throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Smith escapes and throws Alvarez's legs to the side, diving into side control!
