Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Pemberton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Sotiropoulos!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pemberton lands a high kick!
Sotiropoulos looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Sotiropoulos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sotiropoulos.
Pemberton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sotiropoulos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pemberton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Pemberton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sotiropoulos just stands there and leans against the cage.
Pemberton stalling in the clinch but Sotiropoulos improves position.
Pemberton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Pemberton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sotiropoulos gets through Pemberton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Pemberton is looking to break free of the clinch but Sotiropoulos has double underhooks.
Pemberton lands a nice shot to the body.

Pemberton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick by Pemberton misses
and Sotiropoulos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pemberton's guard now.
Pemberton wants to sweep but no luck.

Sotiropoulos wants to control from the top but Pemberton keeps moving.

Sotiropoulos thows a big elbow that misses.
Sotiropoulos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pemberton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sotiropoulos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pemberton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sotiropoulos's back instead.
Pemberton is breathing heavily.
Pemberton is trying to stick to Sotiropoulos's back but Sotiropoulos is turning into Pemberton. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Pemberton's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sotiropoulos.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sotiropoulos scores a takedown into full mount!
Pemberton has left one of his arms exposed and Sotiropoulos doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Pemberton screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
