The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Araujo misses with a takedown attempt - Tango sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Araujo throws a right and a left that Tango avoids nicely.

Tango darts in and clinches Araujo up against the cage.

Tango shoots in looking for a takedown. Araujo tries to sprawl out of it but Tango keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Araujo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Araujo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tango is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tango tries to pull guard but Araujo holds him up against the cage and eventually Tango drops back down to his feet.

Tango is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee asks Tango politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tango prefers to stall for the moment though.

Horrible takedown by Tango or perhaps it was just good defense by Araujo which made him look bad.
