Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blake Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boo Seik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boo Seik told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Martin has his takedown stuffed
and Seik counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Seik.
Martin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Seik's guard.

and Seik holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Seik has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Martin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Seik wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Martin has him pressed against the cage.
Seik wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Martin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Martin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Martin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Seik is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Seik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Seik pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seik is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Martin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Seik swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Martin is now in Seik's guard. A big mistake from Seik there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Seik wants to sweep here but Martin controlling him for the moment.
Seik manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martin manages to get himself to full guard.
Seik is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Seik throws and elbow that misses. Martin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Seik's guard. Nice move by Martin!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
