PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between PeeWee Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cypher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cypher has chosen Dragonland - Contact as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Richard Cypher will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cypher throws the kick towards the body but Herman avoids it.
No luck for Herman with that takedown attempt.
A head kick from Cypher lands but Herman takes it in his stride.

and Herman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Herman drops back looking for a leg! Cypher is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cypher manages to kick Herman off! Herman jumps back into Cypher's guard.
Cypher is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Herman is controlling him.
Herman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Herman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cypher's half guard.
Cypher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Herman shoots for a takedown but Cypher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Herman sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Cypher throws the kick towards the body but Herman avoids it.

and Cypher counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Herman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cypher!
Herman wants to control the pace but Cypher is squirming around nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cypher somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Cypher misses with a low kick as Herman jumps back.
Cypher lands a nice looking body kick.
Cypher stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cypher wants it to stay on the feet.
Herman shoots in but Cypher avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cypher feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Herman's calf.

Cypher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Herman is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Cypher rolls with it to try and escape but Herman cranks on the arm and Cypher is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
