Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Smirilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rampage Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen Because I got High as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rua is defended easily by Smirilov.
Rua looks for a takedown but Smirilov sprawls well.
Smirilov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rua.
Alexander Smirilov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rampage Rua.

Smirilov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Smirilov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rua, who protects the arm well.
Rua can't do much from the bottom here.
Smirilov tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rua's legs.
Smirilov lands a decent elbow from side control.
Smirilov in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Rua throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Smirilov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
You can see the frustration on Rua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Smirilov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rua down.

Rua takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Smirilov tries for a kimura but Rua is defending well.
Rua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smirilov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smirilov trying to control the action but Rua is working from the bottom.
Smirilov is breathing heavily.
Rua is looking to regain half guard here but Smirilov keeps moving and retains side control.
Rua is pushing Smirilov's head away, looking to escape. Smirilov manages to hold on to the position though.

Rua takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Rua is not content to let Smirilov control the position.
Rua is trying to get back to half guard.
Rua is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Smirilov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rua keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rua wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Smirilov has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Rua's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Rua is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Smirilov!
