The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briers slaps away a takedown attempt from Do, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Do changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Briers tries to avoid it but Do manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Briers to the ground. Briers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Do has a takedown stuffed.
Greg Briers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Do.

Do drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Briers is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Do fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Briers wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Do creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Do lands a nice forearm strike.

Do is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Briers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Briers wants to get back to his feet but Do drags him back down.
Do grinds an elbow into Briers's temple.
Do lands a decent elbow from side control.
Briers is working to avoid the ground and pound but Do connects with a decent elbow.
Do wants to control but Briers is keeping him busy.

Briers is breathing heavily.
