The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hamburger.
Hamburger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Richard swivels and escapes.
Richard looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Richard clinches with his opponent.

Richard manages to break the clinch.
Hamburger fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Hamburger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Richard punishes Hamburger's body with a nice straight punch.
Hamburger looks for a takedown but Richard sprawls well.

Richard clinches up with Hamburger and pushes him back against the cage.
Hamburger has Richard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Richard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Richard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Richard digs a good hook to Hamburger's body.
Hamburger is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Richard's corner calls for a 1-2. Richard obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Richard cracks Hamburger with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hamburger looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Richard finish him?

Hamburger is rocked!

It looks like John Hamburger has been cut.
Richard is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Hamburger hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
