Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bond - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bond. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bond throws a nice outside leg kick.

Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bond!
Bond tries to control the position but Silva now has his back.
Bond is trying to get back to his feet but Silva has full control of the position and if anything, Bond has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Bond wants to escape the position.
Bond covering up well under a series of strikes from Silva.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bond trying to control the action but Silva just sinks the hooks in.

Silva has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bond has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bond rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Bond is not content to let Silva control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva wants to pass to mount but Bond is defending the position.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Bond is positioning himself well to prevent Silva advancing to mount.
Bond is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.

Bond working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bond is trying to keep Silva in close.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bond is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bond has his feet on Silva's thighs here. He's pushed Silva off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Silva screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
