PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between mink dre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). dre comes to the cage accompanied by Fed Up. Mack comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eminem - Not afraid kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dre looks to score with a jab to the body but Mack is just out of range.
dre misses with a wild combination.
Mack misses with a body kick.
Mack throws a predictable looking body shot
and dre counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mack has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mack connects with a knee to the head.

dre manages to break the clinch.

dre shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Mack wants to sweep but no luck.

Mack has an active guard here but dre has managed to pass into half guard.

dre is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mack has managed to free his arm - good work.

dre looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
dre thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

dre wants to work for an arm triangle but Mack is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mack gets full guard.

dre is looking to work some ground and pound but Mack has wrist control.
dre lands a couple of digs.
Mack has control of dre's left arm, preventing dre from doing any damage.

dre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
dre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mack's guard.
dre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mack swivels though and keeps the full guard.

dre has gone for a leg lock! Mack slips out almost immediately though and dives into dre's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mack stops dre from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! dre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

dre tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
dre tries for a takedown but Mack circles away easily

and Mack counters by moving into the clinch.

Mack manages to break the clinch.
dre closes the distance but Mack moves to the side
and Mack counters with a good low kick that dre was not able to check.
Mack throws a leg kick which misses dre's front leg but catches the back leg as dre tries to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mack throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mack misses with a wild combination.
Mack tries to close the distance and clinch but dre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mack tries to close the distance and clinch up but dre swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mack misses with a few strikes there.
dre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mack counters with a head kick that drops dre to the mat! dre scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Mack looks to clinch
and dre counters with a solid body kick.
Mack lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mack tries to clinch but dre is having none of it.
mink dre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mack pushes dre up against the cage in a clinch.
dre fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mink dre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mack tries a knee to the head but dre blocks it.
dre trying to stall but Mack improves his position.

Mack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mack tries to clinch but dre is having none of it.
dre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mack circles away quickly and effectively.

dre with a lazy takedown attempt
and dre takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mack fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mack cracks dre with an open hand slap.
Hammer Mack seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mack tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mack connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Mack gets a clinch.
dre being controlled against the cage.
Mack scores with a shoulder strike.
Mack stalling the fight.
dre takes an elbow to the temple.
dre jumps guard but Mack stands there with dre around his waist. dre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mack breaks the clinch.

Mack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dre manages to avoid it.
Mack feints and then cracks dre's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow dre down.
Mack is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
dre misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mack doesn't manage to clinch there - dre circles away.
dre has his takedown stuffed
and dre takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mack throws a series of punches but dre moves out of range.

Mack closes the distance and clinches.

Mack breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mack is looking to clinch but dre is avoiding it.
Mack misses with the combination.
dre throws a sloppy head kick and Mack moves out of range easily.

Mack has taken the fight to the clinch.
dre is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mack is pushing dre up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Mack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mack chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hammer Mack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! dre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mack drops dre with a beautiful combination! dre stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mack is looking for the KO!

It looks like mink dre has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
dre falls off balance throwing a combination

and Mack moves into the clinch.
The referee calls for Mack to work.
dre tries to pull guard but Mack won't allow it.

Mack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mack circles away from the clinch attempt

and Mack counters by clinching up.
dre looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
dre jumps guard but Mack stands there with dre around his waist. dre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
dre is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Mack pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
dre shoots and misses
and Mack counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples dre! This one is all over!
