Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rin Sadako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nigel Uno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rin Sadako!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadako doesn't manage to clinch there - Uno circles away.
Uno fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Uno could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Sadako drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Uno tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Uno is working hard here to advance position.
Sadako wants to stand but Uno has his arm trapped.
Uno stops Sadako from passing to mount.
Uno tries to bench press Sadako off him but Sadako keeps the position.
Sadako tries to stand but Uno is controlling his head.
Uno prevents Sadako from improving position.
Sadako really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uno. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uno tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sadako wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sadako fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Uno closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sadako to the mat! Sadako manages to get full guard.

Uno drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Uno jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sadako wants to sweep but no luck.
Sadako bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Uno's guard.

Uno is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sadako has his hands clasped together but Uno extends an breaks Sadako's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Uno.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nigel Uno!
