Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Basilio Aldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Daley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Daley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aldo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aldo trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Aldo is refusing to be controlled, as Daley sits in half guard.

Daley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Daley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Aldo is looking to escape.

Daley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Aldo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Daley has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Aldo's face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aldo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Aldo is breathing heavily.
BOOM! Daley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Aldo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Daley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Daley wants to control the pace but Aldo is squirming around nicely.
Daley scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Aldo wants to try and get back to his feet.

Aldo is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Daley is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Aldo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Daley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Aldo has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aldo is squirming around, avoiding Daley's attempts to control the action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Daley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aldo to the mat! Aldo manages to get full guard.

Daley passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Aldo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Aldo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Daley has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Daley scores with a couple of short elbows.

Daley is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aldo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Daley gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aldo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Daley lets go of the hold and Aldo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
