Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleon Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bochamp Smathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bochamp Smathers struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 267.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmon loads up on a big right hand but Smathers slips the punch.
Salmon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smathers.
Smathers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Salmon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Salmon throws a good cross that connects.
Salmon connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smathers momentarily.
Smathers is rocked!
Salmon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smathers counters with a leg kick.
Smathers is still on wobbly legs! Can Salmon finish him?
Salmon ducks under a wild hook from Smathers.
Salmon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smathers seems to have recovered his senses.
BOOM! Salmon lands a beautiful left hook that drops Smathers. Smathers tries to recover but Salmon is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Smathers lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
