The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzgibbon throws a series of punches but aoki avoids them all with ease.
aoki takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like shinya aoki has been cut.
Fitzgibbon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
shinya aoki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fitzgibbon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fitzgibbon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from aoki.
Fitzgibbon digs a good body shot into aoki's ribs.
Fitzgibbon tries to bum rush aoki with a series of wild strikes but aoki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A right-left combo lands from Fitzgibbon.
aoki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fitzgibbon swivels and escapes.
Fitzgibbon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

aoki tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fitzgibbon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten aoki somewhat.
Fitzgibbon lands a with a good body shot.
aoki takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for aoki. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Fitzgibbon jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fitzgibbon looks to land a combination but aoki avoids it well.

Fitzgibbon lands a left and a right that send aoki crashing to the mat, dazed. Fitzgibbon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

aoki is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
aoki ducks into an uppercut from Fitzgibbon and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
