Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Feng Wei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hathaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feng Wei had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hathaway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hathaway throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wei fails with a takedown attempt.
Hathaway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wei moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wei misses with a takedown attempt - Hathaway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hathaway moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Hathaway throws a head kick that half lands.

Hathaway wants to clinch up but Wei keeps it at a distance.
Oh Wei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hathaway stalks Wei and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wei's face. Wei staggers backwards, shaken.
Wei is breathing heavily.
Hathaway throws a sloppy head kick and Wei moves out of range easily.
Hathaway fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Hathaway doesn't manage to clinch there - Wei circles away.
Hathaway tries a head kick but it misses.

Wei keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wei avoids the head kick by Hathaway.

Wei shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wei has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hathaway.
Hathaway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wei.

Hathaway has one foot on Wei's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wei postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hathaway is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wei, into his guard.

Wei is working an open guard so Hathaway takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hathaway moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hathaway tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Wei counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hathaway's guard now.
Wei looking to sit in guard and control but Hathaway gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wei is working an open guard so Hathaway takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Hathaway sizes up Wei with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hathaway misses with a kick to the body.

Feng Wei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wei moves forwards but Hathaway connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Wei shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hathaway is trying to defend but Wei finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wei in particular looking to stall.

Wei shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wei was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hathaway really wants to buck Wei off and get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

I would just about give that final round to John Hathaway.
