Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Crier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Lukens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crier comes to the cage accompanied by Sparks the Rescue - Getting Clean In The Dirty South. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Crier!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lenny Lukens!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crier looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crier is looking to clinch but Lukens is avoiding it.
Lukens goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Crier works Lukens's body with a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Crier. Lukens does a little dance to reset his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lukens.
Lukens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crier avoids it really well and circles away.
Crier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lenny Lukens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lukens clinches up against the cage.
Come on Lukens - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Lukens blocking some punches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lukens takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Lukens decides to pull guard.

Lukens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lukens has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Crier drops back looking for a leg! Lukens is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lukens manages to kick Crier off! Crier jumps back into Lukens's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Crier wants to control from the top but Lukens keeps moving.

Lukens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Crier passes Lukens's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Crier stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lukens makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lukens.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Crier trying to control the position from guard on top but Lukens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lukens is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crier defends well.
Crier trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lukens keeping moving, preventing Crier from controlling successfully.
Lukens not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Crier preventing the sweep.
Crier is looking to work some ground and pound but Lukens has wrist control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lukens misses with a low kick.
Lukens defending well as Crier loads up on a big left hand.

and Crier counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crier.
Crier lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Lukens goes for a takedown in the clinch but Crier prevents it.
Crier tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lukens just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lukens turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Crier tries to buck Lukens off but Lukens is having none of it.
Lukens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crier keeps working.
The strikes coming from Lukens are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Lukens lands a few punches from side control.

Lukens is trying to get an arm triangle but Crier is defending well.
Crier tries to bench press Lukens off him but Lukens keeps the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crier has one of Lukens's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The ground and pound from Lukens seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Crier is looking to reverse the position.
Lukens working away.
Crier is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lukens's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lukens trying to control the action but Crier is working from the bottom.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lukens lands a nice short elbow.
Crier has his hands clasped together around Lukens's back. He's all about the action.

Crier looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Crier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Crier tries to get out of the position.
Crier moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lenny Lukens will probably get the nod.
That's time! Crier's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Crier tries to clinch but Lukens moves out of range.
Crier fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lukens throws a combination that misses
enabling Crier to counter with a crisp jab.
Lukens tries to close the distance and clinch but Crier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lukens steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Crier.
Lukens closes the distance but Crier moves to the side
and Crier connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Crier jabs at Lukens's body.
Lukens tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Crier holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lukens throws a punch but it's blocked by Crier.
Lukens gets through Crier's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lukens is trying to break free.
Crier is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lukens pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Lukens has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crier uses from the top position.
Crier wants to control from the top but Lukens keeps moving.

Lukens is looking for a sweep. Crier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lukens regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lukens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crier is aware though and is defending well.

Lukens is breathing heavily.
Lukens has momentary wrist control but Crier slips an elbow through the middle.

Lukens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crier defends it easily.
Crier has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Crier advances position into side control!
Lukens tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crier wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Crier is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lukens has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lukens is looking for a sweep. Crier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Crier wants to pass to mount but Lukens is defending the position.
Lukens trying to hold on to Crier's head to control him but Crier postures up.
Crier thows a huge punch but Lukens dodges it nicely.

Lukens is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Crier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lukens gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crier.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Crier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lukens manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lukens is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crier pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Crier cracks Lukens with a nice body shot.
Lukens is looking to control Crier's arms but Crier gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lukens has his back to the cage.
Crier drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Crier can't get the takedown.

Crier has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lukens is trying to keep an underhook but Crier manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Lukens is looking to improve his position.
Lukens gets full guard.
Crier with a flurry of punches that miss.

Crier got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lukens has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crier has managed to get both his arms back between Lukens's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Crier dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Crier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lukens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lukens landing strikes, looking to finish!

Crier is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Lukens locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Crier is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lenny Lukens!
