Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braylin Bonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Bulldog has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Braylin Bonds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Bulldog!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bonds looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bulldog tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bonds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bonds is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bulldog sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bulldog gets the takedown into side control.
Bonds is looking for a sweep.

Bulldog tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bulldog wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bonds, who protects the arm well.
Bonds is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bonds tries to control but Bulldog manages to take his back.
I really don't envy Bonds right now.

Bonds is working hard here to advance position.

Bulldog is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bonds knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bonds for a finish.
Bulldog is hanging on to Bonds's back as he tries to escape.
Bulldog has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bonds's body.
Bonds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bulldog on the ground.
Bonds wants to control his opponent's hands but Bulldog gets his hands free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bulldog trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Bonds doesn't escape.
Bulldog tries to keep control of the position but Bonds is staying busy.

Bonds trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Bonds trying to get back to his feet but Bulldog is in full control for now.
Bonds wants to control his opponent's hands but Bulldog gets his hands free.

Bonds manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bulldog's guard. Nice work there by Bonds.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bonds fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bulldog throws out a loose jab but Bonds uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bonds shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bulldog counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bonds's guard now.
Bonds keeping moving, preventing Bulldog from controlling successfully.
Bulldog is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bulldog passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

Bulldog is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bulldog should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bonds misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Bonds moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Jeff Bulldog dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bonds wants to clinch up but Bulldog keeps it at a distance.
Bonds shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bulldog but Bulldog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck for Bonds with that takedown attempt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Braylin Bonds. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bulldog fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bonds sprawls well initially but Bulldog persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bonds is looking to control Bulldog's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bonds avoid being mounted?

Bulldog seems to be looking for submissions.
Bonds pushes Bulldog off but Bulldog dives into side control.

Bulldog is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bonds knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bonds is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bulldog is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bonds will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bulldog swings around for an armbar but Bonds sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bulldog's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bonds stands up and waves to Bulldog to follow him.

Bonds forces Bulldog back against the cage and clinches.
Bonds lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Bonds has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bulldog is trying to keep an underhook but Bonds manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bulldog moves into full guard.
Bulldog manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bonds manages to get himself to full guard.
Bonds tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bulldog wants to control from the top but Bonds keeps moving.

Bonds trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bulldog tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bonds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Braylin Bonds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonds lands a two punch combo.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bonds misses with a takedown

and Bulldog counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Bulldog is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bonds is looking to stand up but Bulldog isn't so interested in that idea.
Bonds being controlled here, momentarily.
Bonds looking for a sweep. Not yet Bonds, not yet.
Bulldog stands and throws Bonds's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Bulldog showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bonds drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bulldog is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Bonds frees his head nicely. Oh but Bulldog has switched to an armbar! Bonds is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
