Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuris Lazinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Vespa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Vespa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vespa rushes Lazinski and presses him up against the cage.
Lazinski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vespa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lazinski really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Vespa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dan Vespa just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Vespa tries to clinch up but Lazinski circles away and keeps his distance.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Vespa checks a leg kick.
Lazinski throws a series of punches but Vespa moves out of range.
Vespa tries for a takedown but Lazinski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Yuris Lazinski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lazinski closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Vespa doesn't manage to clinch there - Lazinski circles away.

Vespa pushes Lazinski up against the cage in a clinch.

Vespa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lazinski uses from the top position.
