The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roux slaps away a takedown attempt from Jodion, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jodion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Roux tries to avoid it but Jodion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Roux to the ground. Roux escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Roux misses with an uppercut. Jodion saw that one coming.

Roux bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roux trying to control the position but Jodion is working away.

Roux tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Roux has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jodion tries to bench press Roux off him but Roux keeps the position.
Roux has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jodion keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Roux working for a submission but Jodion is keeping him at bay.

Roux is working for a guillotine from mount but Jodion frees his head quite easily.

Roux goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jodion turns into him and now he's in Roux's guard.
Roux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

He's locked it up tight! Jodion's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Roux picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
