Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Blumpkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dextor Lavy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rusty Blumpkin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavy fails with the takedown.

Lavy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blumpkin is just riding it out for now. Lavy eventually gives up the hold.

Blumpkin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lavy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Blumpkin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lavy's back instead.

Lavy is trying to trip Blumpkin. He has hold of a leg but Blumpkin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lavy persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Lavy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blumpkin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lavy controls Blumpkin momentarily but Blumpkin frees himself.
Lavy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blumpkin manages to get himself to full guard.
Lavy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lavy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blumpkin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lavy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Blumpkin is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Lavy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Blumpkin has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Lavy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Blumpkin doesn't care though - he's delighted!
