Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Banners (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Limon Portokalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Portokalov does no damage.
Portokalov takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Limon Portokalov has been cut.
Left hook, right uppercut from Portokalov.
Portokalov throws a series of punches but Banners avoids them all with ease.
Portokalov swinging wildly here.
Banners throws a jab but it's blocked by Portokalov.
Banners lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Portokalov circles away quickly and effectively.
Portokalov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Banners backs up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Portokalov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Portokalov misses with a few strikes there.
Portokalov throws a right and a left that Banners avoids nicely.

Banners gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Banners avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A punch combination from Portokalov misses.
Banners fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Portokalov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Portokalov looks gassed!
Portokalov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Banners.
Portokalov slips a jab and a cross from Banners.
Banners throws a hook but Portokalov blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Banners lands a big right hand that sends Portokalov crashing to the mat! Banners stays standing though and waves Portokalov back to his feet!

Portokalov is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banners throws a series of punches but Portokalov moves out of range.
Banners pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Banners looks to throw the jab but Portokalov is out of range.
Portokalov defending well as Banners loads up on a big left hand.
Portokalov misses with a wild combination.
Banners tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Portokalov was well out of range. Poor timing from Banners.
Ken Banners seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Portokalov!

Banners drops Portokalov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Portokalov looks back up at him and smiles so Banners waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The cut above Limon Portokalov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Limon Portokalov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
