Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dick Hickman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Santi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dick Hickman is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Santi!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Dick Hickman has been cut.
Hickman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Santi counters with a left to the body.
Santi misses the shot to the body.
Hickman throws a low kick but it's checked well by Santi.
Hickman clobbers Santi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A left and a right from Santi both land. Nice combination.
Santi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hickman counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hickman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Santi thows a body shot but no joy.

Hickman sends Santi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hickman is motioning to the referee to let Santi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Santi is rocked!

It looks like Chris Santi has been cut.

Santi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Santi is working for a kimura but Hickman is defending it quite comfortably.
Santi is taking a breather. Hickman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Hickman is trying to stand up here but Santi is controlling him well.
Hickman is refusing to be controlled, as Santi sits in half guard.

Santi is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Hickman still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Hickman has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Santi tries to buck Hickman off but Hickman is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Santi controls the position for a moment.
Santi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hickman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Santi can't do much from the bottom here.

Hickman stands up and beckons Santi to his feet.
Hickman looks to score with a jab to the body but Santi is just out of range.
Santi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hickman momentarily.

Santi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hickman.

Hickman throws a nice looking combination but Santi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Some bone on bone action there as Hickman checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Hickman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Santi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Santi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hickman.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hickman has a couple of punches blocked by Santi.

Santi breaks from the clinch.
Hickman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Santi doesn't seem bothered though.
Santi works Hickman's body with a nice hook.
Hickman is breathing heavily.
Santi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hickman blocks a low kick nicely.
Hickman wants to clinch but Santi slips to the side
and Santi counters with a stiff right hand.

Hickman closes the distance looking to clinch
and Santi counters with a straight right hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Santi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hickman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Santi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Santi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hickman was well out of range. Poor timing from Santi.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Santi dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hickman moves in looking to clinch but Santi pushes him off.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Santi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Santi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hickman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Santi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hickman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Santi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hickman did well to prevent Santi getting side control.

Santi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Santi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hickman defends it well.
Hickman wants to get back to his feet.

Santi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Santi passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hickman!
Hickman is squirming around, avoiding Santi's attempts to control the action.

Santi goes for an armbar but Hickman turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hickman.

Santi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hickman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Santi.

Hickman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Santi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hickman feints and then cracks Santi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santi down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hickman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hickman.
Hickman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Hickman counters with a nice uppercut.

Santi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hickman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, jab by Hickman - just one landing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Santi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hickman - the referee stops the clock and Santi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hickman. Santi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hickman's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hickman duly obliges.

Hickman gets caught flat footed, as Santi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Santi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hickman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santi has Hickman in his guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Santi has a closed guard, preventing Hickman from standing up.
Santi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hickman is one step ahead there.

Santi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hickman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hickman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Santi wants to sweep here but Hickman controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Santi is trying to keep Hickman in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Santi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hickman tries to clinch up.
Santi dodges the punch combination from Hickman.
Hickman scores with a body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hickman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hickman lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Santi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dick Hickman showed his dominance in that final round.
