Lare comes into a darkened arena with his song building. AC/DC - Hell's Bells kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patrick Conahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luimunaama Lare!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lare drives through and clinches with Conahan against the cage.
Lare manages to pull guard.
Conahan prevents Lare from getting back to his feet.
Lare has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Conahan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Lare cracks Conahan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lare misses with a jab, cross combination.
Conahan ducks under a wild hook from Lare.
Lare throws a jab when Conahan was well out of range.
Lare loads up on a big right hand but Conahan slips the punch.
Lare rushes Conahan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lare breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lare throws a jab but it's blocked by Conahan.
Conahan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lare is fending him off so far but Conahan persists. Nope, Lare circles away and we're back to standing.
Lare throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Conahan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lare connects with a jab.
It looks like Patrick Conahan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Conahan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Luimunaama Lare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Conahan shoots in and drives through. Lare sprawls well.
Conahan is breathing heavily.
Lare throws out a powerful jab.
Lare throws an overhand right that has Conahan reeling! Lare follows up with more punches and Conahan is out cold! This one is all over!
