Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between sugar rashad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Holtz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holtz scores with a jab. rashad acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Holtz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Holtz lands a slapping body shot.

Holtz is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in rashad's half guard.
rashad is breathing heavily.
Holtz content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Holtz not landing any meaningful shots this time.
rashad is in trouble now - Holtz has advanced to mount!

Holtz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Holtz lands a heavy elbow.
rashad is bucking up trying to escape but Holtz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Holtz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Holtz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Christian Holtz just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Holtz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

rashad takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Holtz forces rashad back against the cage and clinches.
Oh rashad is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Holtz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Holtz grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! rashad takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Holtz cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
