Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dark Avenger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Vlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dark Avenger could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marco Vlay's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avenger shoots for a takedown but Vlay saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Avenger shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vlay defends it nicely.
Vlay gets a takedown into half guard.
Vlay not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Avenger tries to get to full guard but Vlay has control of the leg.
Vlay is working for a kimura but Avenger is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Avenger works over Vlay with some ground and pound from guard.
Avenger drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vlay manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Avenger has Vlay in his guard.
Vlay postures up.
Vlay pushes down on Avenger's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Vlay slows the pace down in half guard.
Vlay thows a huge punch but Avenger dodges it nicely.
Vlay looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Vlay is working for a kimura but Avenger is defending it quite comfortably.
Vlay is working for a submission of some sort.
Avenger is doing well to control the position and prevent Vlay from advancing to side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Vlay is looking to advance position but Avenger won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vlay clinches up with Avenger and pushes him back against the cage.

Vlay has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Avenger clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Vlay lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Avenger hold on?!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vlay is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Avenger still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Avenger has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Avenger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vlay swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vlay has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Avenger is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Vlay.

Avenger wants to control but Vlay is keeping him busy.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vlay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vlay postures up in Avenger's guard and throws a big left but Avenger blocks it.
Vlay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vlay is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Avenger's half guard.

Vlay decides to stand up.

Marco Vlay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Avenger tries to clinch
and Vlay counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Vlay has gone for a leg lock! Avenger slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vlay's guard.
Avenger slips nicely into half guard.
Vlay is trying to stand back up but Avenger is controlling him
Avenger works his way into full mount!
Avenger has hold of Vlay's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vlay manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Vlay tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Vlay sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Vlay is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Avenger pulls his head out easily.
Avenger seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vlay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Vlay tries to kick Avenger off but Avenger keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vlay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Avenger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Avenger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Marco Vlay is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vlay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Avenger's guard.

Well Vlay has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
