The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreuger misses with a head kick.

Kreuger gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hokanen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hokanen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kreuger's head.
Hokanen stands up over Kreuger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

It looks like Micheal Kreuger has been cut.

Hokanen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hokanen tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kreuger's legs.
Hokanen cracks Kreuger with a big right hand but Kreuger just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hokanen creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
