The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
POWER shoots for a double leg takedown but Kashima sprawls well. He's pushed POWER's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and POWER cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
POWER throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Go Kashima has been cut.
POWER blocks a jab.

Kashima drives through with a takedown into guard.

POWER wants to get back to his feet but Kashima is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kashima drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kashima jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
POWER throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
POWER loads up on a big right hand but Kashima slips the punch.
Kashima keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kashima shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
POWER is breathing heavily.

Kashima is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kashima in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. POWER tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kashima!
