Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Askam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Schowkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schowkowski comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wir sind das Ruhrgebiet kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schowkowski fails to land with a series of punches.
Schowkowski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Askam moves away.
Kalle Schowkowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Askam blocks the body kick.
Askam displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schowkowski throws out the jab.

Askam slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Askam drops back looking for a leg! Schowkowski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schowkowski manages to kick Askam off! Askam jumps back into Schowkowski's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Schowkowski throws the kick towards the body but Askam avoids it.
Schowkowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schowkowski drops Askam with a beautiful combination! Askam stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Schowkowski is looking for the KO!

It looks like Andrei Askam has been cut.

Askam closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Schowkowski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Askam wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Askam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Schowkowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schowkowski scores with a punch to the head.
Askam fails with a takedown attempt.
Schowkowski connects with a nice cross there... Askam is looking wobbly and Schowkowski recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Askam to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Schowkowski jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
