The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swift doesn't manage to clinch there - Lafay circles away.
Swift pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Swift scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Lafay could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Swift shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lafay sprawls well. Lafay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Swift gets slowly back to his feet.

Lafay is trying to trip Swift. He has hold of a leg but Swift is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lafay persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Swift is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lafay has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lafay!

Swift throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lafay's waist but Lafay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swift off to one side.
