Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kelly might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Theme From Black Belt Jones. Alex Bader has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jim Kelly's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Bader!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kelly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bader throws a series of punches but Kelly moves out of range.
Kelly misses with a double jab

and Bader counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Kelly down! Bader is looking to finish but Kelly is intelligently defending himself.


Kelly is rocked!
Bader stands and throws Kelly's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Oh Kelly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bader takes a little break here. Kelly wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kelly seems to have got his legs back now.

Let's hope that Bader has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kelly can't do much from the bottom here.
Bader content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Alex Bader just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bader looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range.

and Bader counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kelly will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kelly misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Bader lands a stunning uppercut that sends Kelly to the mat!


It looks like Jim Kelly has been cut.
Bader not doing much here.
Kelly wants to get back to his feet.

Bader trying to mount his opponent but Kelly defends it.
Bader is controlling the pace.
Bader wants to pass the guard but Kelly is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bader content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Bader dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jim Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly wants to clinch up but Bader keeps it at a distance.

and Bader scores with a counter punch that sends Kelly to the canvas! Bader smells blood - he's punishing Kelly with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Kelly has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Bader!
