The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Trupu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Engine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Trupu shoots in for a takedown but Engine shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomko Trupu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trupu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Engine misses with a takedown attempt

and Trupu counters with a shoot takedown. Engine fights it but they end up in guard.
Trupu trying to control the position from guard on top but Engine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Engine doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Trupu wants to control from the top but Engine keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Engine can do anything to dispel that myth.

Trupu drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Trupu seems to have locked his on tight now - Engine screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Trupu, as he picks up the win!
