Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kivi Kasvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kivi Kasvo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elijah Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasvo gets a takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kasvo seems content to control.

Kasvo decides to stand and escape the position.
Stevens fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Decent striking displayed by Stevens there.
Stevens lands with a shot to the body.
Kasvo avoids the body shot from Stevens.
Kasvo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stevens tries to avoid it but Kasvo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stevens to the ground. Stevens escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kasvo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stevens circles away.
Kasvo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kasvo is breathing heavily.

Stevens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kasvo.

Stevens catches Kasvo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kasvo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Stevens gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Stevens wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kasvo has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Stevens's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Stevens cracks Kasvo with an open hand slap.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevens changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Stevens moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stevens lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Kivi Kasvo has been cut.
Stevens is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Stevens lands a nice hook to Kasvo's body. Kasvo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stevens tries to score with a low kick but Kasvo moves his leg out of the way.
Stevens comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Stevens fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kasvo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stevens dips to his left and cracks Kasvo with an uppercut!
Stevens cracks Kasvo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kasvo moves out of range of the leg kick from Stevens.
Kasvo needs to keep his hands up - Stevens had a free shot at his head there.
Elijah Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kasvo on the side of the head.

Stevens throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Stevens slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Stevens wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Stevens wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kasvo letting Stevens take a breather here.
Stevens is looking to break free of the clinch but Kasvo has double underhooks.
Stevens tries to circle away but Kasvo has him pinned against the cage.
Stevens wants to get back to striking at distance but Kasvo won't allow it.
Stevens has had enough of the clinch but Kasvo keeps him there for the moment.

Kasvo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stevens has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kasvo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stevens but Stevens pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stevens digs a good body shot into Kasvo's ribs.
Stevens sizes up Kasvo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Kasvo tries to clinch there but Stevens circles away.

Kasvo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kasvo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kasvo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevens sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kasvo somewhat.

Stevens scores with a hook to the body. Kasvo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kasvo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Stevens fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kasvo on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kasvo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Stevens bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kasvo's head backwards.
Kasvo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stevens to score with a decent uppercut.
Stevens thuds a left hand into Kasvo's body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevens just misses with a punch to the body.
Stevens takes a swing at Kasvo's ribcage but misses.
Kasvo thumps Stevens with a low kick.
Stevens misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Stevens defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kasvo.
Elijah Stevens seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stevens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kasvo manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kasvo is defended easily by Stevens.
Stevens looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kasvo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kasvo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stevens did well to prevent Kasvo getting side control.

Stevens is looking to escape.
Well, if Kasvo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stevens can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kasvo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kasvo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kasvo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Kasvo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stevens defends it well.
Kasvo is keen to just control but Stevens is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Stevens looks to throw the jab but Kasvo is out of range.

Stevens lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kasvo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Stevens cracks Kasvo with a good jab.
Kasvo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stevens swivels and escapes.
Stevens digs a good body shot into Kasvo's ribs.

No joy there for Stevens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kasvo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Stevens has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kasvo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Stevens is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kasvo has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kasvo decides to stand back up.
Kasvo dives in and grabs Stevens's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stevens pushes down on Kasvo's head and hops out.
Stevens scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stevens fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kasvo looks to land a body kick but Stevens moved away.
Stevens dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kasvo fails with a takedown attempt.

Elijah Stevens is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stevens lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

I've got Stevens winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
