Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, The Don!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Don.
Don shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Takishi shoots and misses
and Don counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Takishi's guard now.
Takishi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Don looking to pass the guard.
Takishi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Don trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Takishi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Don is aware though and is defending well.
Takishi is looking for a triangle but Don pushes his legs off easily.

Don drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Don jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Takishi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Don!
Don regains half guard.
Takishi is looking to advance position but Don won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takishi uses his free foot to push down on Don's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Don.
Don tries to lock up and control but Takishi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Don wants to control but Takishi is having none of it.
Takishi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Don manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Don tries to bench press Takishi off him but Takishi keeps the position.

Takishi looks up at the clock and then as Don takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Takishi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Don manages to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Don makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Don.
Takishi passes Don's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Don blocking the ground and pound attempt from Takishi.
Don wants to improve his position but Takishi is controlling well.
Don looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Don is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Takishi has latched onto it... Big trouble! Takishi pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Don is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Takishi!
