The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Herrera decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pato is trying to maintain the position but Herrera is very close to passing his half guard.
Herrera not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Herrera seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Pato is trying to stand up here but Herrera is controlling him well.
Herrera seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Herrera wants to pass the guard but Pato is defending well.
Herrera is trying to control the action in half guard but Pato is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A lazy left from Herrera finds it's target.
Pato misses with a takedown

and Herrera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pato!
Herrera is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Pato is working to get back to half guard.
Herrera is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pato can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Herrera lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
