Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sean henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
henry is looking to clinch.
henry has a takedown stuffed.
henry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Evans drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
henry passes into half guard.
henry is taking a breather. Evans says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
henry works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Evans lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
henry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Evans keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Evans moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

henry wants to stand and escape but Evans is having none of it.

henry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Evans can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Evans stands and steps away. henry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Evans lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

henry is trying to drag Evans to the mat but Evans just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Evans postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! henry covers up, he's hurt! Evans keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Evans and the ref steps in to end the fight! Evans can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
