Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Treyark Olso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Treyark Olso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mario Webb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Treyark Olso!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olso fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Webb uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Olso.
Olso misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Webb fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Webb dives in and grabs Olso's left leg, looking for a takedown. Olso pushes down on Webb's head and hops out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Olso lands a left and a right that send Webb crashing to the mat, dazed. Olso thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Mario Webb has been cut.
Olso looks to land a combination but Webb avoids it well.

Olso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Webb manages to avoid it.
Webb shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Olso sprawls well. Olso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Webb gets slowly back to his feet.
Olso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Webb looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Olso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Webb feints and as Olso raises his hands in defense, Webb changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Webb takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Webb changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Olso tries to avoid it but Webb manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Olso to the ground. Olso escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Webb has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Olso is proving hard to escape from.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Webb accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Webb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Olso swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Webb shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Olso pinned against the cage. Olso gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Olso stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Olso wants it to stay on the feet.
Olso tries to close the distance and clinch but Webb swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Webb.
Olso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Webb circles away quickly and effectively.

Treyark Olso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Webb shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Olso napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Olso pushes Webb away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Webb gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Webb lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Webb here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Webb has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
