Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between l l (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Stack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, l l!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Stack!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stack shoots in for a takedown but l shows good takedown defense.

l shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stack manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
l has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stack wants to stand but l is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
l throwing strikes but missing.
l won't allow Stack to sweep him here.
Stack is controlling l's posture.

Stack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. l doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. l manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stack looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

l avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Stack is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Stack looks gassed!
l is trying to drag Stack to the mat but Stack just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stack is pressed up against the cage. l has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stack down to the mat. Stack avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

l shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
l seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Stack is looking for a sweep. l is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stack trying to control from the bottom.
Stack keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
l thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stack's head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Stack is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but l pulls his head out easily.
Stack is not content to let l control the position.

l is controlling the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Stack circles away from the clinch attempt.
l wants to clinch.
l doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like l l has been cut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for l l. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stack moves away from the strike by l.
l gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Stack counter with a right hand.
l tries for a takedown but Stack circles away easily
and Stack counters with a good low kick that l was not able to check.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stack forces l back against the cage and clinches.

A short right from Stack on the inside.
Stack lands with a right to the head.
Stack slowing the pace effectively.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Stack.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Stack.

l could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Stack stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Stack has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but l regains guard immediately.
Stack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
l might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stack passes l's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Stack moves into full mount! l won't be happy about that!
Poor strikes thrown by Stack there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stack cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stack trying to control but l is having none of it.
Stack lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Stack dominated that round.
The cut man is working on l l's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stack lands a head shot.
Stack cracks l with a good jab.

Stack scores with a takedown into l's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stack wants to control from the top but l keeps moving.
l wants to get back to his feet but Stack is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stack postures up in l's guard and throws a big left but l blocks it.
l knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stack on the ground.
l avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Stack stands and throws l's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Stack is looking to take a break and control but l is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stack scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Stack connects with a solid leg kick.
Stack cracks l with a right hand to the side of the head.


l l's cut is getting worse.
Nice uppercut there from Stack.
A right-left combo lands from Stack.

l takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Stack ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Stack lands a nice shot that snaps l's head back.
Stack has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
l takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Stack scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. l doesn't seem bothered though.

Stack rushes l and presses him up against the cage.
Stack dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
l tries for a takedown. No joy.
Stack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stack lands a right hand that snaps the head of l backwards.
The referee calls for Stack to work.

Stack has clasped his hands together around l's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Stack works to advance to full mount. l defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Stack sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

l avoids a series of strikes thrown by Stack.
Stack unloads with some shots from mount but l bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Big Stack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on l l's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


l swings away with a body shot that misses
and Stack counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. l is lucky that one didn't land flush.
l doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Stack counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stack.

l is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stack gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Still in the clinch, Stack scores with a nice short uppercut.


l l's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Stack has l pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stack pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending l tumbling to the mat - Stack dives into l's guard.
Stack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stack passes l's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Stack seems to be working for a kimura but l defends the submission attempt.
l keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Stack tries to pass the half guard into mount. l knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Stack works his way into full mount!
Stack throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Stack looking to control but l is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Stack takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Big Stack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
