Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zhorka Popkin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popkin just misses with a punch to the body.
Popkin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wilson.
Popkin misses with a wild body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wilson. Popkin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Popkin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wilson has time to react.


It looks like John Wilson has been cut.
A big left from Popkin misses.
Popkin scores with a nice head shot.
Popkin cracks Wilson with an open hand slap.
Wilson throws a sloppy body shot
and Popkin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wilson misses with a body shot.
Wilson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Popkin clobbers Wilson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wilson drops his hands momentarily and Popkin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wilson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wilson fails with the takedown.
Popkin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wilson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A punch lands to the side of Wilson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wilson is breathing heavily.
Wilson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


John Wilson's cut is getting worse.
Wilson throws a series of punches but Popkin avoids them all with ease.
Zhorka Popkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Popkin was well out of range. Poor timing from Wilson.
Wilson swings for the body but Popkin moves out of range.
Popkin lands with a hook. Wilson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Popkin throws a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Popkin tests Wilson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Popkin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Popkin connects with a right hand. Wilson shakes it off.
A cross from Popkin lands.
Nice shot by Popkin.
Wilson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Popkin connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Wilson tumbling to the canvas! Popkin pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Wilson was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Zhorka Popkin!
