The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lawsoner wants to clinch up but Kane keeps it at a distance.
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kane forces Lawsoner back against the cage and clinches.
Lawsoner tries for a takedown but Kane manages to get underhooks.
Lawsoner is trying to force a seperation but Kane has the dominant position.

Kane pulls guard.

Lawsoner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kane is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lawsoner, into his guard.
Kane passes Lawsoner's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kane is working for a submission of some sort.
Kane perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Kane seems to be looking for submissions.

Kane postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lawsoner to stand up.
Lawsoner tries to clinch but Kane moves away

and Kane moves into the clinch.

Kane manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Kane has his foot on Lawsoner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lawsoner works his way back into a safe position though.
Kane is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lawsoner is breathing heavily.

Lawsoner is sitting in close to Kane's body. Kane has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lawsoner is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lawsoner is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kane.
