The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laf fails in his attempt to clinch.
Laf throws a head kick but Pantera moves out of range.
Pantera avoids the head kick by Laf.
Pantera swats away the attempt to clinch by Laf.
A slapping body kick lands there for Laf.
Laf throws a sloppy head kick and Pantera moves out of range easily.

Pantera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laf to the mat! Laf manages to get full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pantera drops back looking for a leg! Laf is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laf manages to kick Pantera off! Pantera jumps back into Laf's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pantera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pantera is breathing heavily.

Pantera drops back looking for a leg! Laf is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laf manages to kick Pantera off! Pantera jumps back into Laf's guard.

Laf is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pantera is controlling him.
Laf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pantera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Laf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Laf lands a left and a right that send Pantera crashing to the mat, dazed. Laf thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Laf lands a big head kick that sends Pantera tumbling to the mat! Laf takes a step backwards and waves Pantera back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Laf is refusing to be controlled, as Pantera sits in half guard.
Pantera is pressing down on Laf's thigh, looking to free his foot. Laf is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pantera is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Laf doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pantera.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Laf throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pantera.

Oh Pantera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Pancho Pantera has been cut.

Pantera feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laf tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Pantera seems to have got his legs back now.
