The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Huerta circles away quickly and effectively.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Huerta doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Huerta breaks the clinch.
Emelianenko takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Huerta throws a head kick but Emelianenko moves out of range.

Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Huerta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Huerta tries to land a knee to the head but Emelianenko blocks with his arms.

Emelianenko lands an elbow that stopped Huerta in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Max Huerta has been cut.
Huerta throws a punch but it's blocked by Emelianenko.
Huerta throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Emelianenko blocks it with crossed arms.

Emelianenko tries to throw a body punch but Huerta avoids it by throwing Emelianenko back against the cage.

Huerta tries to bum rush Emelianenko with a series of wild strikes but Emelianenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
