Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuri Ivanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Wall!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall doesn't manage to clinch there - Ivanov circles away.
Wall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch but Ivanov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ivanov did well to prevent Wall getting side control.
Ivanov tries to get to full guard but Wall has control of the leg.
Wall wants to get back to his feet.
Ivanov is looking for a sweep. Wall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ivanov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wall on the ground.
Ivanov is working hard here to advance position.
Wall works his way into side control.
Ivanov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Wall stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Wall takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ivanov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wall's shoulder. That is not cool.
Ivanov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ivanov tries to advance to mount but can't.
Ivanov happy to just control the position for now.
Ivanov throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Wall works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Ivanov wants to free his trapped foot but Wall is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wall trying to hold on to Ivanov's head to control him but Ivanov postures up.
Wall has hold of Ivanov's hands but Ivanov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ivanov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ivanov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wall keeps working.
Ivanov working over Wall with some ground and pound. Wall looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ivanov in particular looking to stall.

Ivanov is looking to advance position but Wall won't allow it.
Ivanov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ivanov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Ivanov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wall wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ivanov looks to move to half guard but instead Wall has passed into mount! Damn!
Ivanov is looking to improve his position but Wall isn't that keen on the idea.
Wall tries to control but Ivanov wriggling away.

I really don't envy Ivanov right now.
Wall is breathing heavily.

Wall looking to break Ivanov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ivanov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wall will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

You can see the frustration on Ivanov's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ivanov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ivanov breaks Wall's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Wall is looking to stand up but Ivanov isn't so interested in that idea.
Ivanov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Wall has his takedown stuffed

and Ivanov shoots in, scooping Wall off his feet. Ivanov is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Wall to the mat and Wall is in big trouble! Ivanov is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Ivanov is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Yuri Ivanov!
