PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zell Dincht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryk Kochanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dincht kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fanfare. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dincht tries to clinch but Kochanski moves out of range.
Dincht throws a nice looking combination but Kochanski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dincht scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Patryk Kochanski has been cut.
Dincht circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dincht throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kochanski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dincht closes the distance looking to clinch

and Kochanski counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Dincht moves into full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dincht holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dincht is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kochanski is looking for a sweep. Dincht is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kochanski won't allow Dincht to pass to mount.

Dincht is trying to control the action in half guard but Kochanski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dincht frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dincht wants to control the pace but Kochanski is squirming around nicely.

Kochanski is working to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kochanski can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Poor strikes thrown by Dincht there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kochanski wants to control but Dincht is having none of it.
Kochanski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kochanski can't escape the position.
Kochanski is squirming around, avoiding Dincht's attempts to control the action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Zell Dincht just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Dincht closes the distance but Kochanski moves to the side
and Kochanski counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dincht is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kochanski looks gassed!
Kochanski shoots for a double leg takedown but Dincht sprawls well. He's pushed Kochanski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dincht has cracked Kochanski with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dincht lands another huge swinging hook and Kochanski tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Kochanski, before Dincht can land any more shots!
