PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nunchi Halonchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MAX SWAGGER (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halonchi comes to the cage accompanied by Doesn´t remind me . SWAGGER has chosen Crawl/ Kings of Leon as his entrance music. MAX SWAGGER will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

SWAGGER tries to clinch but Halonchi is having none of it.

Halonchi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming SWAGGER to the mat! SWAGGER manages to get full guard.
Halonchi wants to control from the top but SWAGGER keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

SWAGGER is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

SWAGGER tries to break free but Halonchi pushes him back against the cage.

SWAGGER keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Halonchi's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Nunchi Halonchi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Halonchi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

SWAGGER fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
SWAGGER tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Halonchi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
SWAGGER rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Halonchi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
SWAGGER fails to land with a series of punches.
SWAGGER tries a head kick but it misses.
SWAGGER looks to land a combination but Halonchi avoids it well.
SWAGGER uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Halonchi.

No joy there for SWAGGER, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
