Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bert Ernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Thomas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bert Ernie!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ernie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Paul Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ernie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thomas sprawls well. Thomas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ernie gets slowly back to his feet.
Thomas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thomas takes the fight into the clinch.

Thomas ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thomas no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ernie takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Thomas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ernie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thomas defends well.

Thomas looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ernie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ernie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thomas to score an easy takedown into full guard.
