Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Lev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Silveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lev lands a nice looking body shot.

Lev drops Silveira with a nice combination! Lev dives into Silveira's guard, looking to finish!

It looks like Marcelo Silveira has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lev trying to control but Silveira is working from the bottom.

Silveira is working an open guard so Lev takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Silveira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silveira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lev is on top in guard.
Silveira pulls Lev in close to his closed guard and prevents Lev from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silveira works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Silveira can't keep his opponent in guard - Lev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lev is looking to advance position but Silveira won't allow it.
Lev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Lev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lev slows the pace down in half guard.
Lev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silveira with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Silveira pushes Lev off and gets back to his feet.
Lev scores with a nice head shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silveira avoids the body shot from Lev.
Lev connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Silveira's hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
