Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Aluev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Aluev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Justin Silva!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Aluev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aluev tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aluev to the ground. Aluev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
David Aluev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Silva.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aluev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Aluev misses with a body kick.
Silva throws a series of punches but Aluev moves out of range.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Aluev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Aluev misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aluev pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Aluev catches Silva with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Silva sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Aluev scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Aluev decides to return to a standing position.

Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aluev napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aluev is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Aluev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aluev tries to get out of the position.
Aluev is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Silva has knee on belly momentarily but Aluev bucks him off and regains half guard.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aluev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva slips a nice elbow through Aluev's hands, connecting with Aluev's forehead.
Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Aluev is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.
Silva misses with a takedown
and Aluev counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva throws a head kick that half lands.

and Aluev counters with a one-two to the body.

and Aluev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.

Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Silva wants to control but Aluev postures up.
Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Aluev trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Aluev tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Aluev dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Aluev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Aluev is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Aluev pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silva pushes Aluev off looking to stand but Aluev dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva tries to roll over but Aluev keeps him under control.

Aluev escapes and gets back to his feet.
Aluev takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.

and Aluev counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.
Silva looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aluev puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Aluev lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Aluev decides to stand and escape the position.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aluev circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Aluev shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

David Aluev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Silva.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Aluev is trying to control but can't.

Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aluev knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Aluev is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Silva tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Silva misses with an elbow over the top.
Silva connects with a knee to the head.
Aluev can't break the clinch.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Aluev looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Aluev's head.

Aluev has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Silva should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Aluev has tightened it up now! Silva should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
